May 30 - carp, carp, carp, carp, carp, carp, carp ...ide!

I'm not supposed to be writing this because we have a gentlemens agreement that you don't report on missions that you you win. However as I managed to weigh in more than double the other authors weight there may be some relunctance to recognise the achievement.

We had some spare pegs so we were joined by a few folks from East Leake AC and a good day was had by most as the carp were very accommodating and not too fussy on what they ate. I went out to the island from the off and mugged a couple early on but dropped back to the near margin within the first hour as I could clearly see small carp (they're all small!) over my pellet feed.

A couple out of the margin then on to the line down the track and an immediate take on paste. With more commotion in the margin I dropped back there and never left for the rest of the session dragging 'em out one after another on paste to amass a final weight of 53lb 15oz.

Jim, one of the founder members of the Daiwa Duffers who had some misfortune reported earlier in the blogg, was on the next peg and he was also going at it hammer and tongs but failed to find the extra 2lb 13oz required to beat me.

Ray came out top amongst the East Leake guys with 45lb and I'm not supposed to mention that Sue weighed in more than Ian. Ian said I shouldn't mention it because Sue is his better half.

5 Ways next ...hope I shouldn't be writing again!
